About North Way Oakland

At North Way Oakland, we foster CONNECTIONS – connecting to Christ, to each other and to the greater community. We do this through our weekly services, but also through the programs we

provide. Whether it is over coffee, music, or just in conversation with one another, at North Way Oakland, individuals are free to be who they are, explore another side of themselves, share their faith, and make a difference.

At the heart of North Way Oakland are three key principles:

• We believe in “transformational” worship – providing the teaching and the environment to grow in your relationship with God, and with others in our community
  
• We believe in empowering those in our community to help shape the church in new ways while respecting and leveraging the experiences and wisdom of our established church leaders
  
• We believe in actively serving the community of which we are a part, by speaking out against injustice, serving those less fortunate, and being an advocate for those in need.
